• Infrastructure prevention: Edge Security, applying OS level hardening and read-only protections.

About the Speaker:

Nedko started his path in the field from a very young age, initially working on a Pravetz 8, then on his beloved 286 with 1MB RAM and 50MB HDD. His professional career led him to Quality Assurance, helping companies and teams improve application quality, processes, and communication.

In recent years, he made a sharp turn to the dark side - DevOps, where he can break environments anytime of the day. His natural habitat includes homelabbing fun, and he often speaks about Quality Assurance, security & performance, and recently DevOps. He also has mentoring experience.

Outside professional interests, despite his barrel shape, Nedko is passionate about ultra endurance sports, especially road cycling.

Over the last ten years, he clocked over 20,000 km on his bike in cold, heat, and various discomforts. In his lecture, he will share how he draws inspiration from two seemingly incompatible things – sports and work – and how one can greatly help the other.
