Building a Coding Agent from Scratch
This event is free to attend
Free registration is required to attend this event
📅 Date: 19.01.2026
🎙️ Speaker: Veselin Dimitrov – co-founder of Buildforce AI, expert in context engineering and agentic coding workflows
🔐 About the event:
This event is part of the AI/ML/Big Data user group.
AI coding agents aren’t magic — they’re a loop, a few tools, and a lot of tokens. Tools like Cursor, Windsurf, and Claude Code follow the same pattern.
In this session, you’ll see a live build of a working coding agent from scratch. You will learn exactly how the inference loop works, how tools are wired in, and how just a few hundred lines of code can autonomously complete real coding tasks.
- Mental models: loops, context windows, and tool calls
- Live build: from chat loop to tool-calling agent
- Wiring the five primitives—read, list, bash, edit, search
- Victory lap: completing a real coding task
Followed by a Q&A session.
This is a free event but requires mandatory preregistration.
🎯 Suitable for:
- Software developers and engineers interested in AI and coding automation
- AI/ML enthusiasts looking to deepen their practical knowledge
- Anyone eager to understand how AI coding agents operate internally
