ℹ️ About the event:
Manual testing is the cornerstone of web accessibility. It reveals how well designers and developers understand the tools they use and whether their sites are truly accessible.
🚀 In this session, you’ll learn:
- How to use a screen reader (VoiceOver on MacOS)
- What issues to look for and how to fix them
- Why semantic HTML and proper ARIA usage are essential
- How sometimes even "perfectly written code" can still fail accessibility standards
🚀 The event includes a Q&A session (in English and German). Recording, slides, and a summary article will be available afterward.
👥 Target audience:
Everyone — from project managers and designers to especially developers and testers who want to deepen their accessibility testing skills.
🎟️ Host:
Julia Undeutsch, Web & UX Accessibility Specialist @ Atos Austria
