Vasil Bakalov spent over 17 years at Microsoft working on operating system development and leading engineering teams. He progressed from an individual contributor to a Senior Development Engineer Lead, building large-scale system software and managing teams responsible for OS core quality and reliability.
In 2024, he left Microsoft to co-found Mirror 360, shifting focus from global platform building to creating products from scratch emphasizing speed, ownership, and innovation.
Today, Vasil also mentors young professionals in Sofia through Mentor the Young, supporting the next generation of builders and leaders.
