🔐 About the event:
The event will be held in English.
This event is part of the Java user group Java User Group.

Agenda:
Multitenancy may seem straightforward until real-world users, operational requirements, and compliance enter the picture. Which isolation model should we choose, and when is one approach more appropriate than another?

In this talk, we will compare four common approaches: row-level separation, schema-per-tenant, database-per-tenant, and application-per-tenant. Using two production cases – a PostgreSQL application with schema-per-tenant isolation and a multi-product platform using database-per-tenant isolation with MongoDB – we will examine why different workloads led to different choices.

We will also cover control plane and data plane separation, tenant routing, provisioning, migration strategies, backup and restore, and the guardrails needed to prevent cross-tenant data leaks.

The goal is not to identify one universally best model, but to provide a practical framework for choosing the right one for your application.
