DrupalCon Amsterdam 2014: Upgrade your Module to Drupal 8

This workshop focuses on upgrading contributed modules for Drupal 8 as it approaches its first beta release. The speaker outlines the module upgrade process and introduces key new features of Drupal 8, such as object-oriented programming, dependency injection, the new routing system, the configuration system, plugins, and the Entity API. Participants are encouraged to bring their own modules to port from Drupal 7 to Drupal 8, with support from several Drupal 8 core developers available to assist. The session aims to familiarize attendees with resources for navigating Drupal 8 effectively and finding the answers they need.
