About this talk
This talk explores the potential of creating modern JavaScript-driven Drupal sites while retaining the traditional functionalities of the CMS. The speaker introduces a JavaScript theme engine that enables the use of templates in JavaScript, including JSX and other markup languages, which address the common challenges associated with headless Drupal sites. Attendees will see demonstrations of how to leverage Drupal's form API within a React-driven environment, as well as an exploration of JavaScript alternatives to Drupal's hook system, showcasing how the two can work together seamlessly. By the end of the session, participants will understand how to integrate React and similar frameworks into the Drupal theme system without losing the advantages that make Drupal a leading content management system.
