Implementation of automation system in Balochistan's Public Accounts Committee

This talk focuses on the transformation of the public auditing process in Balochistan, Pakistan, through the implementation of an automation system built with Drupal. The speaker, Muhammad Tanweer, discusses how the outdated manual system for tracking audit cases led to significant backlogs and prolonged meeting times. By automating the process, the average timeframe for conducting meetings was reduced to less than one month, and paper usage was decreased by nearly 90%, streamlining the workflow for the Public Accounts Committee. This initiative received support and approval from Accountability Lab Pakistan and the Governance and Policy Program under the World Bank, demonstrating the positive impact of digitizing government processes.
