DrupalCon Vienna 2017: Drupal Long Term Support - D6 and Beyond

This session reviews the long-term support (LTS) process for Drupal 6 following its end of life (EOL) and explores the lessons learned over the past year. The speaker discusses how the Drupal Security Team selected three vendors to release security patches for Drupal 6 by analyzing vulnerabilities in Drupal 7 and 8. The collaboration between these vendors and the Security Team ensures that necessary updates are made available, even though not all found issues result in patches if certain modules are unused. Additionally, the talk addresses future options for Drupal 7 LTS and the support of Drupal 8 point releases after community support ceases.
