PHP UK 2018 - Thijs Feryn - Build, provision & deploy in the Cloud with Packer, Ansible & Terraform

This talk covers the challenges of reliably deploying code in a continuous integration and continuous delivery environment, particularly when code commits also involve changes to the underlying stack. The speaker demonstrates how to build vendor-agnostic cloud images using Packer and provision necessary software dependencies, including PHP code, with Ansible. Once the images are established, the session illustrates how to use Terraform to deploy these images and create load-balanced computing instances across multiple cloud environments using a unified configuration format.
