How to tame the load: Why allocations matter?
📅 Date: May 19, 2026
🎙️ Speaker: Vladyslav Stepovyi – expert in high-throughput systems at DraftKings
About the event:
This event is part of the .NET User Group and will be conducted in English.
High-load .NET systems don’t usually fail because of one big mistake—they slow down due to many small ones.
This talk reveals how seemingly harmless code can cause serious performance and cost problems under load.
Using a real case study, Vladyslav will identify root causes and iteratively solve them. The session will include common pitfalls, practical techniques like memoization to reduce high allocation rates, and how code generation can simplify complex low-allocation patterns without extra boilerplate.
Q&A session will follow the talk.
