DrupalCon Amsterdam 2019: Drupal for Social Impact: The ILO Employment Counselling System
About this talk
This talk features Paco Gracia and Olga Leon from Everis, who discuss the launch of the first online job counseling and guidance platform targeted at Syrian workers in Jordan. Developed in collaboration with the International Labour Organisation and co-funded by various international entities, this Drupal-based platform is accessible in both Arabic and English. The platform integrates web, mobile, and telephone services, allowing users to register through multiple channels and connect with job opportunities. Key functionalities include a Solr-based job matching system, integration with an Asterisk-based digital PBX for voice services, and an Android app that enables field operators to assist users without internet access. Additionally, the platform supports APIs for integrating third-party employment services to enhance job seeker connectivity.
