DrupalCon Nashville 2018: Printing in your Language: Leveraging Drupal’s multilingual features
About this talk
This talk covers how Princess Cruises has integrated Drupal as the CMS backbone for their onboard guest experience application, Princess@Sea, which provides multilingual content for passengers. The speaker discusses the challenges faced with printed collateral, including the daily onboard newsletter, and the limitations of relying on onboard translators for content generation and translation. To address these challenges, they developed Canvas, a decoupled Angular application that utilizes data and translations from Drupal to automate the creation of the printed newsletter, Princess Patter. The session explores the content creation, management, translation, and scheduling processes involved in producing printed materials for guests.
