Hospitality Helps - how Drupal has enabled Ukrainian refugees to find accommodation

This talk discusses the HospitalityHelps initiative, which aims to provide temporary hotel accommodations to Ukrainian residents displaced by the war. The speaker details how hospitality industry veterans collaborated with HotelSwaps, which developed a platform on Drupal for trading hotel rooms using 'HotelSwaps Coins'. A new platform was quickly created to support the initiative and has successfully enlisted over 600 hotels offering thousands of free rooms to refugees across Europe. The session highlights the customization of the Drupal platform for this humanitarian purpose and the challenges encountered during its implementation.
