DrupalCon Seattle 2019: Case Study: How & why Drupal powers 900 websites at McGill University

This session examines how Drupal is utilized at McGill University, where a team of 10 facilitates a platform for 1,700 active site managers, generating 10 million page views monthly. The speakers, Joyce Peralta, a web analyst and UX specialist, and Matt Corks, a back-end web developer, discuss the project's goals, architecture, and challenges, highlighting the shared Drupal multisite architecture, automated deployment processes, and the Agile workflow. Although aimed at a general audience, the talk includes technical insights into the deployment processes and encourages further discussion during a follow-up Birds of a Feather session on managing large-scale Drupal deployments in higher education.
