[music] >> We are trying to connect the talents with the companies so we could create a situation where talent that wishes to relocate would land a nice job in the happiest country in Finland. So we have this job site workinfinland.com which we call a one-stop for international talents. It has a lot of information about Finland, a lot of links and you know because it's also a place

to live. It's not only work. But also the main thing there is the open positions on that page. And then when you land in Finland, there's a lot of support. There's places called International Houses that are like an information center for international talents free of charge of course. And you can go there with asking about hobbies, housing, daycare, you know, whatever you need they will help you

and they also have networking events. And then we also have ongoing campaign in the deep tech sector which is growing rapidly AI semiconductor chips quantum etc. So in that sector there's maybe more possibilities at the moment than in general. So that's one to watch and we have a QR code to our next Tuesday online event at the booth. So welcome to the booth and register to that

event. Uh okay, I'll just give a little update on Finland. Uh you'll all be very happy and surprised to know that knowingly or unknowingly all of us are touching somewhere or the other the Finnish companies. You lift the mobile phone you had Nokia. Today in India you I mean wherever you see it's it's again the Nokia networks. Uh you see the best elevators it's Kone which is

from Finland. Uh you see the best cranes it's Konecranes, again from Finland. If you see the largest engines which are there, again Wärtsilä from in Finland. Largest ships in the world, Finland. My list can go on and on and on. Imagine a country with a population of just 5 million people. 5 million people and out of these 5 million, 1 million kids, 1 million adult people, working

population 3 million, and you see the kind of innovation. I can list at least 150 plus companies, one after the other, which are in the top, I would say, uh they Now, what does Finland need? Most of these companies today are looking beyond what's happening. Everyone is talking about AI. When we talk about AI, we are talking about data, data, data analysis. We are talking about how

to manage the data. We are talking about cybersecurity. We are talking about clean tech. We are talking about green tech. We are talking about energy. So, these are the areas. And you know, we are then we are talking about the circular economy. We are talking about you you name the new things happening in the world. Now, see Finland is again number one in innovation. And the whole

system in Finland is designed for innovation. So, right from your childhood till you your education, everything is you know, you you you your your brain is moving more towards innovation. So, it it's a country where the innovation is there. So, today when we talk about from from India perspective, what do we expect? First thing is when we are talking about Finland, going to Finland, let's be very,

you know, clear. One, it's not the place where they're looking for only your qualification. Qualification is one part. Here in Finland, they're looking at skills. Your experience. How you think on your own. How open you are. How open are you in discussing? How open you are in, what do you call, asking questions? Because that's the most important. They want you to think, innovate, and etc. So, you

you when you leave India and you're coming to Finland, so this is your your totally your mindset changes, your working culture changes. And this happens both in white-collar jobs and also in blue-collar jobs. Now, when we talk about resumes in because I'm I'm sure like you all would love to what do you uh yes, send your applications. Uh my colleagues have already mentioned to you about the

websites. So, the best is that first you introspect yourself, decide what you would like to do, look for those companies who he where you could fit into, where you're suitable for. Make your profile as short as possible. Nobody is looking at a 10-page profile. People are just looking at one synopsis of yours. Just highlight what you can do. That's the first thing you should do. And always

highlight your And this is the way how you can end up in and I'll be happy to answer questions. Hello everyone. I'm Divya Narang. Answering to Shrestha's question, actually a lot is being done between India and EU since many many years. But the very recent developments, as you all know, is the EU trade deal which has been signed. The new EU legal gateway office which has been

set up in Delhi. I'll give you a very recent concrete level root level example, which is the Discover Finland initiative which we have started in the Work in Finland unit. It's a co-funded pilot. It's a new pilot which has been co-funded by the Finnish government and the European Union. And we are building a very comprehensive package, self preparation package for people, for experts and specialists who want

to come to Finland to work. And the package gives you a very comprehensive information about how the approach towards job search works in Finland. So, as as Anil very expertly gave some quick pointers about enhancing your profiles, you'll find that information in that package. You'll find what the employers ex- expect, what would be your rights and responsibilities. And once you decide to move to Finland, how you

can connect to local support services. So, it's it's a very comprehensive guide from point A to point Z. Plus, it also includes some industry focused group coaching sessions. We have four highlighted industries which we can talk in detail when you come to our booth. So, the purpose of these group coaching sessions is to connect you directly with the experts of representing those industries from Finland through live

online sessions and get more industry specific information. My colleague will also be telling you more about this, how you can enroll with us in our booths. But yes, that's very shortly to answer to your question, Trishta. Thank you, Kateri. That was very useful. This is one such program that we are already implementing in India. We were also at this last year. Some of the familiar faces that

I can see. I can also see more faces that have already registered for the board. Well, I would encourage you to make use of this free of cost course available all of you because it is a pilot. And once it is successful, it will be made on a fair basis like this more step. This is something that we are doing one of the different initiative that we

are running to make sure that you know what you're getting into before you make that choice to go to Finland. Now, I am sure that all of you would also have some practical questions. I mean, we have been talking about what Finland is, how good it is, but how do we apply for a job? And what kind of jobs are available? So, that would be now my

questions to the panelists here today that what are the next practical steps that they can take to know more about the initiative to be able to attend those. Over to you, Kateri, if you could begin with it. Uh yes, sure. So, um I already mentioned the work in Finland.com site with all the open pos- well, not all, but many open pos- positions that do not require Finnish

language. By the way, English is widely spoken in Finland, so you don't need to learn Finnish, which is the one of the hardest languages in the world, but not impossible. So, my colleague here speaks like fluent Finnish, and uh she's an international talent. But anyway, so you would go to the workinfinland.com, and then you would browse your jobs, and then you would uh apply for some positions

that interest you, and you get the job, and then you will apply for um a residence permit uh based on work and that process has been streamlined by our immigration. They have made some improvements, so it's about 2 weeks and you will get your permit. And then you can start arranging with the employer, uh you know, agree on the terms and maybe some relocation packages, which is

up to the company and etc. and whether you like start online first and uh you know, move gradually or whatever. So, it's really easy and then when you come to Finland, there's also, as mentioned before, the international houses, but the process is quite straightforward. I think that might be So, the next speaker I think you are the one with the most interesting questions for all of you

because he's managing the company who also had the representation in Finland at the new year in Bangalore. We also have his colleagues here in in the uh team, but I will introduce everyone and but over to you, Anand. Thank you. So, you know, when we talk about the jobs, what I would request is that one, you make a profile which is where you are highlighting your skills.

That's the most important. Be clear what exactly you want. That's the thing. So, once your profile is done, identify the companies whom the companies where you are interested to work and also the companies who will be interested in your profile. That's the second. Third is do a complete homework of that. Many of the websites already have uh what do I call names of the uh technical people.

And some of the companies also they have their job portals where you need to apply through the job portals. And and in the job portals also you you will definitely get the names of contact people. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them. So, this is one way of applying. The second way of applying is uh networking with your friends because in Finland, uh you

know, references plays a very very important role. Because people are looking I mean like the the the companies are looking for trustworthy and employees with defense. So, if you have if you have good network, good contacts either through your professors or through your companies or through your institute or whatever. So, that plays a very very important role. So, these are the ways you should and then try

to attend as many events as possible like to go to this kind of event where you know, you get to meet the right people. You get the what do you call website detail like work in Finland. You can go there. There are thousands of jobs supposed to take. So, these are the ways how you can get in. And we as a company, we are both what do

you call involved in blue collar and white collar. We have our offices in the Bangalore. And in Bangalore, we do software development and also we have a recruitment office in Bangalore. In Pune, we have mechanical engineering ship design and and the other I would say activities happening. And these are 100% owned by our Finnish company. So, when you get when you connect to us, you're directly getting

connected to So, and our our parent company in Finland is called as Kaiku HR. So, the website is kaikuhr.fi. And ekoinженеринг.fi. These are our websites. Feel free and then even if even if there are no suitable job for you, feel free to apply. Because when you apply, it's both ways. Then the company also sees that okay, these are the potential candidates available or these are the potential

resources available. So, we also tend to knock at the right doors. So, these are the different ways things. So, this is the way. And if you have any questions, feel free. So, that's a very very useful advice. Apply, apply, apply. Even if you think about electric, you should apply because you never know what they and you never know if you are the first and the perfect fit

employer and you might be a very good fit for that. So, that was super super practical and very useful. Now, I move to the job. If you have any suggestion on how to enroll for that course, please. Yes, definitely. It's very easy actually. You can enroll for the Discover Finland pathway right here in this event. Please come to our booth. As Katri mentioned, workinfinland.com portal and Anil

mentioned about networking and referencing. All this is very is covered very comprehensively in the course. You'll get much more information in there. So, please come to our booth. Give There are very few easy steps. We just need to get you some details from you, check your ID, and you can get access to the course right away and start doing it. It's already open. And I think if

Sezin would share more practical details on that. Yes. Thank you so much, Divya. Thank you so much, Katri. Thank you so much, Anil. What a wonderful panel of experts like we just had. We're going to push perspective of what it means to apply for job in Finland and what Finland is offering. Now, we move to the next part of the session today. I would like to welcome

Sezin Atabey. Uh we the Clean Planet project that we have so much account. How to make those little practical steps. Over to you. Yes, thank you so much. Yes, here we So, my name is Sezin Atabey Diler. I am Turkish origin. I have moved to Finland 1 and 1/2 years ago. So, then I moved with my family as a specialist permit. So, all these things that we

have discussed, feel free to ask me if you have questions how that this journey has been. Uh what are the things that you have you might come across as a family. So, happy to reply to this. So, uh we are working with Divya on this project, Discover Finland project. Um and then my clicker is not working. So, I'll do a little manual work. So, you already heard

what is it for. Uh but then I want to emphasize that because we are from the government agency, we are not recruiters. So, this program is not a part of a recruitment. We are giving you the right tools and information that guides you correctly so that you don't have like this, you know, people coming come I find a job pay me this amount of money, which might

happen and we see that there are cases like this. So this is uh the trusted information that you can find. And it's for free as I said because it's part of the uh government initiative. And basically we talk about what it does. So it's a two-tier uh thing what you get out of this. So you have the e-learning which you do yourself uh self-paced and when you

register your is ready. Whenever you want to do it, you do it. And it what it contains, it contains all the way from job hunting and takes you like networking. We were discussing with some people how do I network and find the connections. How do I find the company names even so. So the company names are also within the course and then uh how do I apply?

Which job portal do I apply? Where do I create my profile? All these questions can be answered through this. And then uh what about my rights as a uh you know, employee? Like what is my duties? How does it the work culture? You know, here maybe you work maybe 12 hours and then in Finland it's less. So don't be surprised. It's okay to ask questions. For instance,

it's okay to ask your CEO even. So you can go and easily approach people. So these kind of things are in the course that might be different maybe in your daily life. And then um how do you embrace this? Like is it even good for you? Like we were pointing out to Seshtha like moving to a country is a big big big decision. So then this course

is giving you all this information. Okay, how is the work culture? Is it okay for me also and my family? And then of course we talk about this uh residence permit. So it's not sponsorship or visa. This is basically uh specialist permit and Chesta has explained specialist is for professionals who are with certain degree and who is with certain salary. And this is the type of thing

that you get when you sign the contract and after you sign the contract you apply and that's the 14-day process time that my colleagues mentioned. So all these details are in the course and the last thing of course we have the cities Kuopio and Helsinki if you just wave and I know Chesta will also again mention them. So if you the cities play a big role when

you relocate also because they give you all like okay, how do I register the schools, health care, my IDs, everything. So then any questions you can go and ask but this is the information is there. So all this thing is written. You are like you know kind of not super interactive but there are interactive elements. But then how do I ask questions in a live session? You

have certain questions. So when you complete this done this is the live coaching. The coaching is maybe a big word but it's like a webinar setup that you do we have two speakers from the industry experts and also from the recruiters. So we also have Kaiku will be also like doing presentation also you can ask questions obviously and industries are general coverage like what is the general

tips and things and then IT digitalization, manufacturing including maritime, energy and and the health tech. So this is what it is. So you basically need to complete this free and but then how much time do I need to allocate is a question. You know you are like professionals you don't want to spend time on studying. So then basically you just need to have a laptop and internet

and the course takes approximately two and a half hours but you can also spend more time on it because we have different elements and tools and you can download them later and the coaching when I say the webinar is like format the speaking is like 1 and 1/2 hours. So, per each session. So, if you take like industry overview and IT is like 3 hours of your

whole time. You just need to allocate that. You give us feedback and you there's like some little assignments here and there. So, that's what is uh in the course. So, it is available to India at the moment it's because it's a project it's limited to only professions in India, Brazil, and Vietnam. So, it's not available to everyone. If you're in India and living in London, we don't

give the access. So, at the moment it's a good time that if you want to register, register with us. And how do you do that? So, we we mentioned we have the booth. We take registrations there. My colleagues will help. You see the t-shirts obviously. And I basically we just need you to see the ID. It can be other card or digital or driving license, anything. And

then you just sign up and then have access to the e-learning course which you see. And uh as I said, the course is available. So, when you have access, you will just go through the course on your own self-pace. And then uh after you complete, you go to the coaching as I said. But in the course of anything, if you have questions and you have some troubles,

you can find me and DBL of course. Uh Anshul says of course in India if you have any questions. So, that's all about the uh the the course. So, thank you so much for listening to me. And you can find us I know that it's lunch time so you can you you can take your time, eat, and then come and find us. We're here today and tomorrow

and all the course of the GITS. So, thank you very much. Yes. >> [music] >> Oh.
